Adam Kałduński

The pianist was born on 31 July 1996 in Gdańsk. He began learning piano at the age of seven under Mariusz Trzebniak at the Feliks Nowowiejski Music School in Gdańsk. He is currently studying with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. He is a prize-winner of several piano competitions, including: 2nd prize at the 1. Achterkerke-Musikwettbewerb "Die Jungen Besten im Norden" in Heringsdorf (2014), 1st prize and special awards: for the best performance of a mazurka and piece of Karol Szymanowski at the XXII International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia (2014), 3rd prize at the IV International Piano Competition in Augustów (2014), 2nd prize at the XVIII All-Poland Piano Competition in Konin (2014), 1st prize at the I Leopold Godowski International Piano Competition "Young Virtuoso" in Warsaw (2013). Adam Kałduński has worked at piano master courses with such artists as Nikolai Demidenko, Kevin Kenner, Alexei Orlovetsky, Uta Weyand, Dina Yoffe and others. He received grants from the Prime Minister of Poland, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Marshal of Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Mayor of the city of Gdańsk, the Polish Children's Fund, Rector of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music.
